what we believe

We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men, divinely inspired, and its truth is without any mixture of error for its matter. We believe the Bible to be the center of true Christian unity and the supreme standard by which all human, conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried. (II Tim. 3:16,17; II Peter 1:19-21; Luke 21:33; Psalms 19:7-19; Matt. 5:17-18; 22:29; Heb. 1:1-2).

We believe that there is one and only one living and true God, an infinite, sovereign Spirit, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of Heaven and earth; inexpressibly glorious in holiness, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption (Exodus 20:2,3; I Cor. 8:6; Rev. 4:11; Isaiah 64:8; Gal. 4:6; I John 5:7)

We believe the Scriptures teach that salvation of sinners is wholly of grace; through the mediatorial offices (i.e., Prophet, Priest, King) of the Son of God. According to the Will of the Father, the Son assumed our nature, yet without sin; honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and by His death made a full atonement for our sins. Having risen from the dead, He is now enthroned in heaven; and uniting in His wonderful person the tenderest sympathies with divine perfections. He is every way qualified to be a suitable, a compassionate, and an all-sufficient Savior. (Eph. 2:5; Matt. 18:11; I John 4:10; I Cor. 3:5-7; Acts 15:11; John 3:16; Phil. 2:6-7; Heb. 7:25; Col. 2:9)
